Dr Rahul Lakhera is an experienced musculoskeletal and sports doctor currently based at The Wharfedale Clinic, Guiseley and Clinic 360, Leeds. GP trained, Dr Lakhera has 10 years’ of experience working in elite sport, both on and off the field with a number of professional sports teams. He has also been a NHS Musculoskeletal Clinical Lead in General Practice since 2018 where he sees patients with a wide range of acute and chronic musculoskeletal problems.
With a keen interest in Progressive Medicine and root causes of chronic problems, Dr Lakhera uses a comprehensive, person-centred approach in order to develop sustainable management plans.

Background
Rahul graduated in Medicine from the University of Nottingham in 2007, after which he moved to West Yorkshire for his junior doctor years. Rotations in rheumatology and A&E shaped his early interest in musculoskeletal medicine. On completing his GP training in 2012, he has developed a career combining General Practice with jobs in elite sport. In 2016 he completed a Diploma in Sports and Exercise Medicine at The University of Bath and has been a member of the British Association of Sports Medicine (BASEM) since 2017. He has also completed a Post Graduate Certificate in Musculoskeletal Ultrasound from The University College of Osteopathy.
